Fountain grass (Miscanthus sinesis): perennial, 5′ high, full sun, completely drought proof, spreads over time to a nice large clump.

Pink creeping mums (Chrysanthemum rubellum ‘Sheffield Pink’): full to part sun, drought resistant, 2′ high in bloom, pink flowers in november (it is the last of the mums to bloom), foliage makes a pretty carpet all summer long. ┬áCan be used as a ground cover.

Bears breeches (Acanthus mollis) in the foreground, not yet for sale.
